Yet another crazy value from Portugal. Simply delicious! Plump, juciy and loaded with red fruit, herbs, earth and spice. I couldn't believe the price of this wine. I could drink it ALL day! ~Mike Guerra
Deep red hue. Scents of cassis, blackberry and leather fill the nose. Secondary aromas of green olive, peppercorn, and earth tones lie in the background. The palate sensation begins with a nice acidity followed by a savory mid palate and a long-lasting silky tannin finish.
There’s tons of lively, juicy red fruit and Merlot’s characteristic cherry pit note backed up by plenty of peppery, woodsy, spicy Bordeaux like notes. Juicy acidity and a smooth texture make it go down easy. Feel free to give it a slight chill!
100% certified organic and biodynamic Pinot Gris grown on traditional capanne, or pergolas, in the Peligna valley. Handpicked fruit, fermented with native yeasts. The wine referments in the bottle and the maturation of the sparkling wine takes place ‘sur-lie’ or on its own yeasts.
A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Traditional vinification with de-stemmed grapes. Direct pressing, low-temperature fermentation. Aromas and flavors of pink lady apples, underripe cherry, white peach and hints of pineapple with a supple, bright, dryish light body and an effortless, brisk finish imparting notes of fresh herbs, baking spice and stone with no oak flavor.
Easy going, dry, fruity and light. Lemon, peach, stone fruit and minerals all make an appearance, with mellow acidity backing everything up. A ripe, clean, varietally correct style of Pinot Grigio, well rounded and plenty of fruit to go around. This is a definite pool or porch pounder.
This wine is all about the fruit, with aromas of red and black cherry and hint of violet. A very quaffable style with soft tannins and packed with juicy vibrant cherry fruit characters. Medium bodied with crunchy red cherry and earthy notes on the nose., this is a lovely food wine that pairs well with charcuterie and hard mature cheeses.
60% Merlot, 40% Corvina. Hand harvested fruit. Traditional vinfiication in stainless steel. Long maceration, aged in oak for 4 months before bottling. 14.0% alcohol.
This small, family owned winery has owned their estate vineyards since 1890. Until recently, they sold all their grapes to wineries like Seghesio, but they started keeping some fruit to make their own label in 2003.
