Avinyo Cava makes this refreshing white in the Penedes region of Catalunya. This is their Vi d'agulla, which means "prickly wine" in Catalan, named for its slightly effervescent character. Made from a blend 80% Petit Grain Muscat and 20% Macabeu, this low alcohol, spritzy white has delicate notes of honeysuckle, tart grapefruit, lime and a nice minerality. A great bottle to serve as a distinctive apperitif at the start of a festive gathering.
We love Grenache! This is 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, from sand, clay and silt soil with 25-year-old vine age. The grapes undergo a 21-day fermentation period, with the Grenache in cement tank and the Syrah in 3- to 4-year old barrels. Seriously gulpable juice!!
