Tasting Notes

Serious Malbec at a great price! Pop the cork on this beautiful Malbec and it draws you in with aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and violets, with hints of coffee and minerals. The wine is supple and juicy of the palate with a bevy of black and blue fruits mixing with hints of spice. Medium bodied with incredible balance and a core of ultra fine tannins gives this wine great structure without being too heavy. Its drinking great now, but you could happily age this wine for another 4-5 years or more as well.

About Bodega Atamisque

Founded in 2002 by John and Chantal Du Monceau and located in Tupungato, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Atamisque’s name comes from an aboriginal bush that grows naturally in the region. The wines are produced from the winery’s own 70 hectares of vineyards, which provides the highest standard of quality from the vine to the bottle. Respect for the environment and long-term sustainability were the foundation in the construction of Atamisque. The winery was designed for gravity-flow winemaking to avoid the use of pumps and minimize wine stress and utilizing the local slate in the area as tiling for the roof of the buildings providing perfect insulation and temperature control year-round.

Flat rate shipping on retail and wine clubs is $12 up to 12 bottles and $24 on 13 bottles or more.
